Orientation is draining. It is great to get to know all the people in the JVC but we all have different personalities. It is so interesting to learn about how different people see things. Simplicity for one person could be living a life a luxury for another, and these two people could live in one community. I love how my community can discuss all of these issues. We do not all agree by any means, but we all respect each other. I love that! I have lived in communities before and there has been varying levels of respect. We will have our moments when we disagree, I am sure we will have many moments we disagree. Disagreements are essential, they will allow us to grow and evolve as individuals and as a community.
I think intentional community will be awesome and terrifying all at the same time! I'll keep you updated on how it goes...
