I did seven intakes by myself today and I only had a few mistakes!
Today I used what I learned. They stopped giving Ellen intakes around the 1st of August since she was leaving in the middle of the month and wouldn't be able to follow up with clients. Since there was not an intake person in the office all the administrative assistants have been doing the intakes. We got a bit backed up since I am still new and they had been out at the conference in Montgomery. So today I really just dove in and the result was seven intakes!
I know I said I did them alone, but I lied. I'd stop every time I had a question and walk on over to Kathy, Sherry, or Tammy for help. Kathy has been wonderful with each question I ask and Tammy has taken the time to explain the same thing to me several time when I am just not understanding what I am supposed to be doing. Sherry and Ann have also been helpful when Tammy and Kathy have been busy. It is great that everyone is so happy to help.
Tonight we had our first meeting with our support people. I think these will be great but for now we just explained why we are here and talked about all the things we spent four days taking about in Houston...it was a bit repetitive but we understand that Andrews and David were not there so they need to use this opportunity to learn about us, and for us to learn about them.
