Saturday's a Rugby Day! Today is the The 32nd Annual Battleship Rugby Tournament at USS Alabama Memorial Park. Today these girls played their first rugby game with contact, there first real experience with rugby away from the practice fields. At 9am they played FSU and at 3pm they played Auburn. Alex and Dube (the coaches) were both super busy the this weekend. Alex was the head referee and Dube was playing and had to work though out the weekend. I felt like a real coach because I was with the girls for all of their games and led their warm ups and informed them of the line up. I was, honestly, so proud of these girls. They played so hard, and if they had needed me I would have been honored to play along side them today!
Oh and I had some pretty awesome fans come out to watch the Auburn game. It really meant a lot to me to have my community support me!
