Day 101- November 18, 2010

I got some flowers at work today! Thanks mom and dad. The flowers are to make me feel at home in Mobile since I won't be at home this year for Thanksgiving. This is the first time I won't be home for Thanksgiving, which has always been my favorite holiday, probably because of it's close proximity to my birthday.

Oh and once the plant dies or I replant it I can use the acorn lid and keep candy inside the container!

Today I found out my grandma had a stroke. She is doing well but it is unbelievably difficult not having the ability to go home. I have been told it is nothing to be worried about and there is nothing I can do but I still wish I could be sitting by her side, even if it was just for a little while. But I'll be home in about a month and I can spend time with her while I am home.

Tonight we had a Harvest Dinner with the Mobile ACE community.  This is out second dinner with them and I hope we are able to maintain a relationship since we will be sharing this city for the next 6 months, and they are people our age who aren't married!!

November is Prematurity Awareness Month

More than half a million babies are born too soon each year.
