Re-Orientation:
"JVC Re-Orientation in Leakey Texas
We were off to Re-o for our retreat on social justice and I was pumped to get out of Mobile for awhile, see some new cities in Texas and see all of the JV’s again. We left from work and drove to Houston and stayed with the Houston JV’s on Wednesday night! ..[I went on a run through Houston around the JV house which was short but great to see their surrounding neighborhood.] Andrew and Matthew drove the first 2 legs of the drive wednesday night and [Andrew V.] began the drive thursday morning on our way to Leakey with the 2 Houston houses driving with us. Roughly 2 hours into our trip we began to hear a a noise which we thought was the semi that was next to us but shortly realized it was our van tire, which blew out. It was a great 5 hour delay in our trip but it made for a great story. We were a few hours late to the retreat but in the end it was good that we all made it there safe."
We went through San Antonio on our way to Austin after the retreat. After we remembered the Alamo, we kept on going up to Austin and stayed with the JVs. It was great to see Austin and see another community!
There is so much more I can add to this weekend but time is not my friend and will not be for the next 2 months...
