2011 started off great. Nicky and I made a great turkey with stuffing (not dressing or any other strange side, it was good Northern stuffing). Alex made black eyed peas and cabbage which are a Southern tradition to bring luck and money in the new year. We also had mashed potatoes and corn bread. It was great meal! Both Nola houses and all the guests came for dinner.
There were a few road bumps, like the oven not being on for 2 hours... but in the end the food was delicious and it was a lot of fun cooking and eating with everyone. It was a good beginning of a new year.
