Day 56- October 4, 2010

Emily Weiss is the eastern recruiter for the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.  She has been making her rounds on her eastern coast tour.  One stop is Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL.  We had the pleasure of having Emily stay with us for a few days.  She arrived yesterday and will be staying until the middle of the week.

Emily was a JV for two years in Belize.  She was one of the contact people for the CUA Mission Trips to Belize.  I texted Kerry "Karole" Convery, who just happened to be an attendee of Mission Belize 2009 and she remembered Emily.  Emily also remembered Kerry, but who could forget Kerry!!  It is such an amazing coincidence that Emily just happened to help my former roommate with her missionary work.

And now a quote I stole from Mary P.'s monthly e-mail:

"We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that. This enables us to do something, and to do it very well. It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a step along the way, an opportunity for the lord's grace to enter and do the rest. We may never see the end results, but that is the difference between the master builder and the worker. We are workers, not master builders; ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future not our own."
