This morning I went for a run over to Mike and Susie's house. Megan met me there. We played in the pool with John and Eleanor while Mike and Susie took Sally for a walk. We were at their house for about 2 hours. It is so nice to just play with the kids and relax in the pool. It is a great release from the long and serious work week.At 11am the seven of us went over to my office. The building is being renovated so our storage unit in the basement needs to be cleared out. We found files dating back to 1984. We had to load up push carts with as many boxes as possible, get it to the elevator, and unload it on the 21st floor. We set up three jobs: loader, cart pusher, and unloader. Megan and I were unloaders so we stayed on the 21st floor.
Any files we had from before 2002 need to be looked through and shredded. We have to look through the files to make sure we don't have any original documents because we can't get rid of those. Any thing we have from 2002 - present needs to be sorted and put into filing cabinets. Our office will be moving to another floor in January or February, so all of this needs to get done. We had about 10 people helping for three hours straight and we are only half way done with moving the boxes. It took Megan, Sherry, and I about an hour to look through 3 boxes...this is going to be a long project!!
