Today I answered all my e-mails from everyone at home. I love keeping in touch with everyone, but it is also hard being away. I caught up with Sarah and Kaitlan, which was great! Kaitlan is in LA being an awesome nurse and I'm so proud of her. I envy her bravery in moving to a new city, and it's not just any city but Los Angeles!Everyone seems to still be in the DC area except for Kaitlan, Jenna, and I. I also talked with Jenna on the phone. She is settling down in Colorado and adjusting to the life of an architecture grad student. It was great talking with Jenna and e-mailing with Kaitlan because I didn't feel alone.
Most of the former Figs are still in the DC area. Tonight Bridget, Sarah, Mitchell and Andrew are going out for drinks. (Mitchell and Andrew are honorary Figs) I was feeling really nostalgic towards the end of work today. Talking with my housemates and my phone call with Jenna helped.
Everything in DC is not the same, I mean it will never be the same without Kaitlan, Jenna and I! But we are all moving on, I am here doing something completely different that any of the 14 people I've lived with in my two years on Newton Street. Some of them may still be in DC but it's not the same college nights I've been missing. We have to start pretending to be adults now, and I couldn't think of a better way to do it than in the JVC!
