Today Kate ran the New Orleans Marathon. The plan had been for a few of us Mobile JVs to go and cheer her on. Andrew Vivian decided last minute he would just drive with Kate on Saturday afternoon. I wasn't able to do that because of the birthday party. As 5am rolled around driving to New Orleans didn't seem like a great way to start my day, the thought actually made me feel sick. I texted Andrew and he told Megan and I to stay home. Kate understood and had an amazing race, such a great race that Kate qualified for BOSTON!!! I promised I'd be at that race regardless of where I am or how early I have to get up!Since I will be running a 1/2 marathon in two months, I have come to realize I need better running shoes. I had planned to stop at the Biloxi, MI outlets which are on the way to New Orleans but since I didn't go I needed a new plan. If I am going to use these shoes for the race I need to start training in them soon. Mary P. was kind enough to let Megan and I use her car to go to the Foley, AL outlets. After many failed attempts I found the above shoes. They fit great and are specifically designed for women. Yay new running shoes!
