This morning I went to Central Presbyterian Church with Emily, Mary P, and the Andrews. It was a great experience! The service is informal. This service was started as a place for the Core Members from L'Arche to freely worship without some of the restrictions of a more formal service. We sat in a large room with couches, arm chairs, and tables. There were noise makers on each table, a large band and plenty of opportunities to comment if you felt a calling to do so throughout the service. I loved the experience, the spiritual experience was not a religious one, but instead the community within that room was warm, inviting, and welcoming, which fed my spirituality in a different way. I would return to one of these services for the human interactions and the smiles on the Core Members faces, but I may also need to attend a mass to have a more religious experience.
After the service the Decorating continued.
To end the night we had a lovely, unplanned skype date with the South Dakota JVs. It was fun to chat with them and awkwardly make fun of lots of different things.
