With Mardi Gras just around the corner the New Orleans JVs are hosting a party. The whole house was planning to go but by the end of this week the thought of a sleeping on a crowded floor and drinking games did not excite me. I decided not to go to New Orleans for the weekend after work today. With my decision to stay home Megan felt it safe to stay as well. Megan had wanted to stay home but was scared to stay in the house alone.
It has been a long week. There has been a lot going on a work and there is a lot more that is going to be happening over the up coming months. Having gone home it was great to see my family but it is also hard. It breaks my heart not to be with my grandma and my parents as the navigate the next steps of life. As I previously bragged, my dad is amazing and there are just some days I'd really love to give him a hug for all that he is doing. My grandma is officially moving out of her assisted living apartment and into a full time care room. This will be best for her, something we all know, but it will always be hard to watch the people we love change and grow older.
